Getting Rid of Negative Energy and Inviting the Good

Negative energy often surrounds us but it is up to us whether we let it get to us or whether we flick it off and move on.

Just today, I got a call from a woman who told me she could find no-one to help her step out of the negative chords that she could feel around her. She had rung quite a few psychics and healers and she said that no-one could help her. She was talking about chords and chakras being blocked and, within seconds, I knew we were on the same wavelength. For some time, this lady had been bogged down in the same old pattern that was wrecking her life. Fourteen years of it, in fact. It was a case of just a small taste of things getting better and then they’d go hurtling backwards to square one.

There are many ways to change the negative energy around you if you have the right toolkit.

There are, however, many ways to change the negative energy around you if you have the right tool kit. Some people don’t believe that the energy is the core issue when things are going wrong. They try to use a Band-Aid solution by patching up their eating, exercise, relationships, job etc and go from one modality to another looking for a remedy. All that is great — provided you also heal the underlying negative energy. If you don’t, then the issue will come back. Perhaps not for years, but the threat of the underlying pattern will still be there.

If you feel negative energy surrounding you, it’s worth asking what are you sending out there and attracting towards you? Chances are, it’s negative. Like attracts like. It creates a vicious circle, and that’s why people say to stay positive and have faith. However, that can be very difficult to do if you are feeling down, stuck and trapped.

The problem is that these individuals are stuck in their negative energy and for them it becomes their reality.

Negative energy can be so ingrained in your pattern; you have become so used to it you don’t even know it’s there anymore. Often, I get people who are so busy and stressed and they don’t realise it as they have been like this for years. They’re stuck in a routine of rush and no fun, stuck fighting with relatives and friends, experiencing hassles with the kids … and, when I suggest they are stuck, they respond, “That’s life.” But it doesn’t have to be that way; it is always your choice. The problem is that these individuals are stuck in their negative energy and for them it becomes their reality.

Negative energy pervades your subconscious beliefs and colours your world, so much so that you sometimes come to believe that nothing will go right for you. If you are stuck like this then it may take some doing to see how you make your own negativity. You need to be honest with yourself though and ask yourself a few probing questions.

Do you complain a lot? How much do you talk about what is right with the world rather than what the issues are? Do you read the negativity on the net or do you research positive things that lift you? Do you criticise others? And, if so, how often? Do you lie awake at night and worry or feel guilty about things? Do you believe you have been hard done by due to some people? Are you a victim and do people seem to always do wrong by you? How much are you grateful for the good things in life that you have, and do you put that gratefulness into practice every day?

Instead of going into a job interview wondering, “Will they like me?”, make your mantra, “I am perfect for this job and I will show them how.”

All of these questions will affect you negatively, if your answer is affirmative. If you feel like a victim and cannot find it in your heart to be grateful, then some of that negativity is coming from you. All of the above questions involve in some way you being in a safety zone and giving away your power. Now, it isn’t easy to admit to yourself that you are making some of your own negative energy, but it is a step in the right direction to fixing it. It takes guts to own your role in this and to take responsibility. To accept that you are responsible for your life and what happens in it.

If you feel like a victim and cannot find it in your heart to be grateful, then some of that negativity is coming from you.

Now is the time to start putting that negative energy aside and taking positive steps into your future. Now is the time to reach out for help, to see a therapist or energy worker who can get you motivated and moving in a positive direction towards a new vision for your life.

You have already done the first things needed to move forward. If you have answered the above questions in your head and admitted to yourself that some of this might be your fault, that is an amazing start. Now YOU have the power to handle it. So begin to practice some cognitive therapy by looking at how you can alter your thinking from negative to positive. Catch yourself in the negativity and change your thought pattern to a positive outcome. Instead of going into a job interview wondering, “Will they like me?”, make your mantra, “I am perfect for this job and I will show them how.” This will immediately alter your perspective and get you thinking positively.

Your past negative reality is just one of conditioning. A pattern that was created which can be changed. Get help on how to create a toolkit to change it. See a cognitive therapist, learn meditation, join a spiritual group, work with a healer, clear out your chakras, pray, visualise positivity and learn to manifest it. Anyone who can teach you new tools to be independent and responsible for your own thoughts and feelings can help you clear that negative energy away. Then you become empowered to repel the negative energy of others in the same way you would sweep up your Garden path and put the rubbish in the bin.

So sweep that negative energy out the door and move forward with strength towards your goals and dreams. Living in the present moment is like living one life, every moment. Let’s make them happy ones.
